Formed by Andrew Spaulding (Pill) and Oscar Allen Guinn (Rhinestone), Quartz Casino Band thrives in the Brooklyn soil: watered by whiskey, fertilized by lead paint flakes, and the J train’s lullaby.  Where the train goes the track goes first; respect to those who sang before is the key to country. QCB touches on the music of Steve Earle, Eagles, Lee Hazlewood, and, of course, George Jones.  The diversity of songwriting is apparent, no one song sounds the same as the last, but they’re all complimentary like a good plate of country cooking should be.  Share a beer and a tear, have a party if it’s hearty, Quartz Casino Band will be there for both.
